So much for Monday morning sucking.
Kendrick Lamar gave us all — including Taylor Swift — a reason to wake up early this morning by dropping his To Pimp a Butterfly album a whole week early. What have we done to deserve this divine pleasure?
Actually, nothing. The early release is supposedly down to a screw-up by Interscope Records, USA Today reports. Top Dawg Entertainment label head Anthony Tiffith, who reps Lamar, has been tweeting angrily about the release, saying "someone gots 2 pay 4 this mistake." We're sure someone will — but in the meantime, can we just say thanks to this accident-prone angel?
The album is now available to buy on iTunes. Alternatively, you can listen to tracks like "King Kunta" or "Blacker The Berry" on Spotify. Speaking of Spotify, its number-one nemesis/Kendrick Lamar wannabe bestie Taylor Swift was one of the first to share her excitement over the album's early release.
