Eddie Redmayne has quite the distinguished fan club. The British actor won the Best Actor Oscar last night for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything, and the theoretical physicist and cosmologist wasted no time in sharing his congratulations. Like anyone else, he went on Facebook to post his message.

For his part, Redmayne thanked Stephen and the Hawking family in his Oscars speech. He also dedicated his award to those battling ALS, the motor neuron disease from which the scientist suffers. You've got to love the mutual appreciation. It'll be good to see these guys reunited soon — with Oscar in tow, of course.
