The New Spring Line You'll Wear Every Day

The thrill of the winter season is done. We don't want to go skiing, and we've seen about as many snow-day Instagrams as we care to. Our minds are springing ahead, to warm weather and major new collections. Topping our list is Trademark's line (out today), which offers pretty much everything we want to wear come April.

Inspired by India as seen through the lens of Jean Renoir's 1951 film The River, the line highlights easy, layerable pieces. "The classic film’s technicolor palette and signature aesthetic can be seen in the collection’s tunic suiting, poplin shirting for dresses and layering, and use of plaids and collarless jackets," says designer Pookie Burch. "There are also gestures toward the bright jolts of color and long, loose silhouettes found in the traditional menswear of India." You'll also note that many items feature like fabrics, which co-designer Louisa Burch prefers, because pairing pieces in the same fabric keeps a look more forward and uniform. Check out the first delivery of the spring collection here and in the NYC store (95 Grand Street) today, or scroll below for a few of our favorite selects. Your spring daydreaming just got outfitted.

Brown is the color of the season, and this shade feels particularly forward. The dress shape is also very right now: It's boxy, but with a slightly nipped waist, and the bell sleeves and oversized buttons add visual interest.
This is one of Pookie's favorite tees; the multicolor rib collar gives a sporty twist to a sophisticated silhouette.
It looks like your wear-everywhere spring jacket has just been found. The coordinating scarf isn't available yet, so your double-pattern look will have to wait.
Now, this is taking the Indian influence quite literally — and we're into it.
Picture this tunic (which comes in blue, too) with baggy culotte jeans and platforms in April and with nothing but flat sandals for running around in June.
