Kate & William Set To Land In NYC Today

REX USA/Rex
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge — Prince William and Princess Perfect Hair — are heading to New York City for a babymoon today!
Okay, not really. They're here for an official visit and all the pomp and circumstance that entails, including school visits and speeches. But, their full itinerary has been released, so let's go through their plans step-by-step.
The New York Times reports that the royal couple will be flying commercial (gasp!), landing on Sunday afternoon and staying in an undisclosed Manhattan hotel — our money is on the St. Regis or maybe the Ritz-Carlton. This is only the second trip undertaken by William and Kate outside the Commonwealth family of nations, following a brief stop in California at the end of their 2011 Canadian tour. It's also the first time either of them have been to New York and Washington.

On Monday, Wills will travel to D.C., where he'll meet President Obama in the Oval Office (fingers crossed for a Clarence House selfie!) and speak at a conference at the World Bank, “focusing on corruption surrounding the illegal wildlife trade," per the itinerary.
Meanwhile, Kate will be in Harlem touring the Northside Center for Child Development with Chirlane McCray (wife of Mayor Bill de Blasio) before a lunch with British New Yorkers who are known in “culture, arts, hospitality and business sectors.” No notes on where lunch is planned, but we'd hit up Red Rooster for a fried delta catfish sandwich.
After returning to N.Y.C., Will is hitting a reception hosted by the Royal Foundation and the Clinton Foundation to promote conservation issues, and yes, Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea are expected to be there. Then, he's meeting up with Kate and heading to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn to watch the Nets play the Cleveland Cavaliers. Yes: There will be royalty in Brooklyn.
Let's pause for a second. I'm exhausted just writing this, Harlem and Brooklyn in the same day is more than I can handle. Throw in a trip to D.C. and meeting the President and former President? It's too much. And, don't forget, Kate's pregnant.
On Tuesday, the couple will view the 9/11 memorial and museum, take in performances at a youth organization, and celebrate “the wealth of British talent in the creative industries based in New York,” according to their schedule. Then William will go solo and attend an event at the Empire State Building (cool!), and meet up with Kate — who hopefully had time for a nap — for a dinner at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
