4 Easy, Last-Minute Halloween DIYs You've Got To Try

If the mere thought of putting together a Halloween costume is enough to scare you, don’t worry — you don't have to face those fears alone. We've tapped San Francisco-based makeup artist Katie Nash to come up with four badass, last-minute DIYs that will fool everyone into thinking you've spent weeks working on the perfect creation.
Whether an easy-to-pull-off Jenna Lyons look is up your alley, or an in-depth costume inspired by Frida Kahlo is more your speed, we promise there's something in here for everyone. Follow these tips and be prepared to bring home some costume-contest prizes. Ahead, all the beauty tricks you need to lock 'em down — you're in for a treat!

Using an angled brush, fill in your brows with a dark brown mousse. (We used Tarte EmphasEYES.) "Be sure to blend using upward brushstrokes to create fullness," Nash advises.

To give yourself some Frida-style definition, apply a bright blush, like Fever by MAC, high on your cheekbones.

Apply an orange-red lip color to your lips.

Part your hair down the middle and make two braids just behind your ears.

Completely cover your face and neck in pale blue face paint. (We used Kryolan Aquacolor in G83.)

Using a darker blue face paint, create two large circles around each of your eyes.

Glue two clusters of individual faux eyelashes to create a V-shape. Nash suggests using an eyelash adhesive for best results.

"Apply solid black liner to your top lash line, then, apply three eyelash V-shape clusters to each eye," instructs Nash.

To create the stitch affect, use blue liquid liner to draw a diagonal line from the top of your forehead down to the edge of your eyebrow and the bottom of your cheekbone. Repeat on the side of your mouth and your neck. Then, cross the lines by adding X's.
