It should go without saying that making it in the music industry is no cake walk. Recently, however, more and more female artists have been coming forward with stories of what really goes on behind the scenes, and Lady Gaga is the latest.
"I had really awful experiences with men in the studio," the "Applause" singer told The Times. "I don’t have to elaborate. But, I promise you that when women who are in the business that are young read this article, I hope [they understand] that you do not have to put up with that."

Gaga's statements came right as news broke of Kesha's suit against Dr. Luke, her producer. Kesha alleges he sexually, physically, verbally, and emotionally abused her during the course of their 10-year working relationship.
The pop star continued to elaborate on her past byway of expressing her goal today: to be an example of how achieving your dreams is done through hard work. And, part of that comes with being a feminist, a title Gaga proudly owns. "I’m certainly a feminist," she said in the interview. "A feminist to me is somebody that wishes to protect the integrity of women who are ambitious."
