It's hard to tell sometimes if Orange Is the New Black is a drama or a comedy. As it turns out, the show falls under neither category. As video editor Robert Jones illustrates, OITNB is clearly an '80s sitcom. Basically, it's The Golden Girls.
We know what you're thinking. How can a show set in a women's prison possibly compare to the lives and times of Blanche, Dorothy, Sophia, and Rose? Well, they both revolved around women living together and have a lot of sex jokes. Also, we'd like to think the four golden ladies would run Litchfield penitentiary — no questions asked.
