"Colors"
Iranian-Swedish singer Laleh may have spread her talent throughout Scandinavia, but she's now conquering the states with her sound. We're excited to premiere "Colors," which gorgeously parallels the sounds of Kate Bush, Björk, and Marina and The Diamonds. Her ability to push vocal boundaries is something we definitely want to keep tabs on.
Francesco Yates
"Call (Jade Blue Remix)"
We were already fans of soulful up-and-comer Francesco Yates, but we fanned out even more when we heard we were able to premiere the remix for "Call." Electronic producer Jade Blue took Yates' track and made it into something super danceable: a perfect ending to the summer. You might just catch us secretly (or not so secretly) dancing at our desks to this one.
Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas
"Sorry I Stole Your Man"
Soulful, hypnotizing and rootsy, Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas are incredibly captivating. "Sorry I Stole Your Man" is a catchy track that showcases Hernandez's strong pipes and incredible songwriting ability. Hernandez's debut Secret Evil caught us by surprise in the best way possible, and it's been on repeat ever since.
Vance Joy
"Wasted Time"
Aussie crooner Vance Joy has us swooning over all of his released tracks so far, and "Wasted Time" is just another one we're obsessed with. "Wasted Time" is a love song that you can truly feel the passion of Joy's storytelling. We're pretty sure we'll be head over heels for his debut record, Dream Your Life Away, out on September 9.
Catey Shaw
"Human Contact"
As a follow-up to her much talked about/debated track "Brooklyn Girls," Catey Shaw's "Human Contact" shows that she is much more than just a Brooklyn girl. The song highlights an intense romance that definitely sets the scene for some serious dancing (or head bopping). With The Brooklyn EP coming out September 9, we're excited to see what else Shaw has in store.
