Are Lobster-Tail Braids The New Fishtails?

Let's face it: It's easy for your braid game to get stale after a while. Really, how many things can you do with a plait? So, it was only a matter of time before someone attempted to add some life to these twists. Enter: the lobster-tail braid, courtesy of Salon Mario Russo.
The style is part pony, part braid, and (most importantly) it can be as messy as you need it to be. It's achieved by pulling your hair into a ponytail, dividing it into two sections of twists, and then twirling those sections together. Pin, spritz down with texture spray, and you're set. It's messier than a rope braid, but if you can do that, you can definitely do this.
As far as fishy braids go, this is one we can get on board with. It looks cute, is easy to pull off, and works for a bevy of situations. That late summer wedding you're gearing up for? A Labor Day barbecue? Done and done. But, here's our one request: Let's figure out a less ridiculous name. There is actually no way to say "Check out my lobster-tail braid!" without a chuckle. Seriously, give it a shot. ...Yeah, thought so.
