Stars were shaking in their boots when they heard about the Met Gala's white-tie dress code. This year, the always-fancy event took "formal" to a new level by calling for white tie — that's tailcoats for fellas, ball gowns for ladies: no exceptions. Of course, A-listers make exceptions, because they're special like that.
So, we played paparazzo and hit the red carpet to spot the stars who executed the look flawlessly, and those who brilliantly defied the dress code (we're looking at you, Ms. Olsen). And, of course, to gawk at the pure fabulosity of it all.
