One of the best parts about living in NYC is how many dogs you'll encounter on a daily basis. A short stroll to the Duane Reade can easily mean petting up to four pooches. And, among those furry friends, you'll see at least one wearing some type of outfit. But, we're pretty sure photographer Paul Nathan has found the snazziest dogs in the city.
In his new book Couture Dogs Of New York, he captures pups dressed to the nines. "I think dogs are the perfect companion for New Yorkers," Nathan says. And, when it comes to wardrobe, these canines are wearing serious designer duds — it's not unusual for their owners to spend thousands on doggy clothing. "I don't think a dog's personality is altered by their owner. They are their own person," Nathan explains. "Certainly, their choice in clothes may be similarly aligned though!"
