Legendary filmmaker Stanley Kubrick's daughter, Vivian, is an inspiring visionary in her own right. A composer, a director, and overall creative guru, she's been quietly active in cinema since her adolescence. Understandably, her early achievements are linked to her father's most iconic moments. A behind-the-scenes documentary of The Shining she directed aired on BBC before she was even 20. Later, she even created the score for 1987's Full Metal Jacket under the pseudonym Angela Meade (smartly played on her part.) Decades later, Ms. Kubrick is now taking to social media to share previously unseen photos of what went on behind some of her dad's legendary sets. They certainly bring a new playful context to some heavy-hitting cinema. There's eyebrow-raising moments (little Vivian on the set of A Clockwork Orange) as well as endearing ones (bonding with the chimp from 2001: A Space Odyssey.) You can check out the full spectrum of snapshots on her Twitter, but we've posted some of our favorite highlights below.
