Hey, remember bright colors? Yeah, we almost forgot about them, too — this winter has had us making some seriously bleak makeup choices. So, when our eyes landed on Smashbox's newest collection, a collaboration with musician Santigold, it felt like we were being jolted out of hibernation and into a world where sunshine is as abundant as teal eyeliner.

Santigold, known offstage as Santi White, is famous for creative, boundary-pushing music, so it's only fitting that the makeup she helped design is also very adventurous. The collection is called The Santigolden Age, and the concept is a utopian vision of a world in which "earth, stars, humans, aliens, and all coexist harmoniously." If that sounds like a tough vibe to pair makeup with, think again. The collection is futuristic and playful with vivid brights and creative palettes that feature the musician's own collage art.

Our favorite part of the The Santigolden Age is by far the snake-pyramid lipstick ring. It is form, function, and pure fabulousness all in one Swarovski-crystal-adorned piece of jewelry, and we can't wait to wear it all spring long.
