Which Of These Couples Is The Next Brangelina?

When we think power couples, our minds turn to Brad and Angelina, Brad and Jen, or really, Brad Pitt and anyone who happens to be standing next to him at the time. Still, as long as the A-list has existed, its members have been flirting, dating, and even procreating. We don't doubt that many of these matchups have been based on a very real love (or lust). But, there's no denying that shacking up with a fellow It Guy or Girl can be beneficial for your star rating — and your wallet.
We'll always be awestruck by the Beckhams and the Brangelinas of the world, but it's time for a new guard of coupledom to claim their spot as Hollywood's top twosome. While many vie for Power Couple status (we see you, Kristen and Dax!), only a few are destined to be royalty. These eight teams are poised to topple the old guard any day now. So long as they can stay together, that is.

The Original Power Couple: Jennifer Garner & Ben Affleck

By the word of Suri Cruise herself, the Garner-Affleck children might be the most sought-after (read: paparazzied) brood in Tinseltown. And, it's not just because Violet is so darn adorable. America is just obsessed with Ben and Jen and anything they create. Batman controversy aside, Affleck has major star power, and that Boston accent is a force to be reckoned with. Throw in Garner's adorable down-to-earth demeanor and you've got yourself a winning combo.

The New Power Couple: Emma Stone & Andrew Garfield

Another major star, another irresistible accent. Garfield may have gotten his big break in The Social Network, but it's playing a superhero that's going to fast-track him to stardom. As for Stone, she's about as likable as any young actress. And, there's nothing more desirable than a couple you want to be best friends with.

The Original Power Couple: Gwyneth Paltrow & Chris Martin

Who else in the world could get away with naming their child Moses? Ol' Gwyn continually shows us that she's going to do whatever she pleases and look amazing while she's at it. And Chris, well, let's just say we haven't met a person who hasn't been emotionally transformed by at least one Coldplay song. Even though the Paltrow-Martins hide out in London most of the year, they are firmly entrenched in Lala Land's elite.

The New Power Couple: Jessica Biel & Justin Timberlake

The actress-and-music-mogul pairing is as old as time. And, Timberlake adds actually funny SNL host to his pop-star-actor-designer-mogul repertoire. It doesn't hurt that J&J make up one of the most beautiful couples in Hollywood, either. Their union didn't exactly launch them to greater fame, but that's because you can't get much more A-list than JT. God help the classmates of their future children.

The Original Power Couple: Judd Apatow & Leslie Mann

If there were a first couple of comedy, Apatow and Mann would be it. They're basically a hilarious Hollywood version of the Obamas. Everything Apatow touches turns to box-office gold, and his army of willing comedians is just going to keep leading him to the bank. Leslie has her own comedic chops, to be sure, but she shines the brightest in her hubby's films.

The New Power Couple: Olivia Wilde & Jason Sudeikis

Beautiful, smart, wickedly funny…see a pattern here? It takes a lot to fill the Apatow shoes, but we're pretty sure that these two have what it takes. Olivia is a total media darling, and Jason and his SNL-alumni crew are ready to strike. Having a baby on the way is like getting a promotion on the A-list these days, and we can't wait for their little one's first comedic cameo.

The Original Power Couple: David & Victoria Beckham

The simple fact that a British athlete was able to climb to the top of Hollywood's power rankings says it all about David Beckham. For one thing, his fame is light-years ahead of his teammates'. The reason? Well, besides those H&M ads: His union with a gorgeous and fashionable femme fatale. Double trouble.

The New Power Couple: Gabrielle Union & Dwyane Wade

Though, these two don't quite have the beautiful brooding factor going for them, they do fill the quota of athlete and creative. Union's Tinseltown talent paired with Wade's slick on-the-court skills make for a duo to be reckoned with. Plus, like the Beckhams, they take a red carpet and amp up the swoon factor by, like, threefold.

The Original Power Couple: Elton John & David Furnish

It's pretty easy to be a power couple when one half consists of Elton John. The guy is so legendary he doesn't even need to record any new songs to remain a musical powerhouse. Add an adorable husband and even more adorable kiddos, and you've got yourself a force to be reckoned with.

The New Power Couple: Neil Patrick Harris & David Burtka

Okay, stay with us on this one. Not only does NPH have the musical talent and sparkling personality of Sir Elton, but we're pretty confident that Elton and David have been personally grooming this young couple to replace them. What else could explain the family vacays to Monaco and double-date yachting trips?

The Original Power Couple: Ashton Kutcher & Demi Moore

We can't quite put our finger on the public's fascination with these two. Well, besides the fact that Demi is a non-aging enigma and they're both headline-worthy. We were beyond bummed when they broke up, not least because it meant no more hilarious pics of Ashton and his stepdaughters.

The New Power Couple: Ashton Kutcher & Mila Kunis

Well...this is awkward. But, Ashton's moved on from Demi and found himself another red-hot movie star. The Kun-cher's (so their portmanteau needs work) are both pretty commanding at the box office these days, and they've got all that '70s Show history together. Consider these two the down-to-earth version of Demi and Ashton.

The Original Power Couple: Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie

It literally hurts our insides to be singing this couple's praises (#TeamJen 'til we die), but their It factor is undeniable. Who else could cause swarms of paparazzi everywhere they go, or turn Ryan Seacrest into a blubbering man-child? It's Brangelina's world, we're just living in it.

The New Power Couple: Aaron Paul & Lauren Parsekian

We literally stayed up nights trying to decide just who has the tenacity and talent to step into Brangie's shoes. We know this could be a divisive decision, but consider this: Aaron's still a relative newbie to the biz, and he's already raking in awards. His wife, Lauren, is admittedly light years less famous than Angelina, but her philanthropy work is right on par (she founded her own nonprofit, The Kind Campaign, to combat girl-on-girl bullying). Believe us yet?

The Original Power Couple: Jay Z & Beyoncé

Ladies and gentleman, we bring you The Couple That Needs No Explanation. Sex. Money. The Perfect Heir. These two have it all and are basically the epitome of the power couple. All hail Queen Bey and His Lord, Jigga Man.

The New Power Couple: Jay Z & Beyoncé

Did you seriously think that anyone, ever, could replace the almighty HOVAs? Shame on you. At least not until Blue Ivy's old enough to date...
