Facebook’s Paper App Is Pretty Impressive

A few weeks ago, we chatted about how hyped we were about the prospect of Paper — Facebook’s shiny-new aggregated news app that promises to give Flipboard a run for its money. And, we’ve been tightly crossing our fingers that the launch rumors were true.
Well, now we can stop speculating because Facebook has just announced that yep, it’s true. The announcement was made today (along with the release of a cool promo vid). A far cry from the cluttered news feeds we’ve all come to loathe, Paper offers a streamlined way to intake cutting-edge stories and headlines. And according to The Verge — it’s even more. We’ll be given an innovative way to digest news, see snaps, keep it in touch with friends, and discover new voices — all at full screen, sans traditional IU features like buttons. Right now, it’s only for iPhone holders — sorry Android users. We’re eager to give it a whirl on February, 3!
