The 30-year-old American Horror Story: Coven star is no stranger to criticism about her plus-size appearance, but over the course of her career, she's managed to handle all the negative chatter with the utmost class and dignity. On Sunday, she once again kept all the haters at bay with a typically classy response from someone who's obviously very comfortable in her own skin.
After walking the carpet in a shimmering cream-colored gown, many onlookers took to Twitter and other forms of social media to lambaste the actress and her glam squad for the way she looked. "Clearly Gabby's stylist doesn't like her and has no problem stealing her money," trilled one critic. "I love Gabby Sidibe but she looked like the GLOBE at the Golden Globes," said another.
It's the kind of toxic reaction Sidibe has been getting since she first broke onto the scene in 2010, with an Oscar nod for her lead role in Precious. So, it's no wonder she had the perfect comeback: "To people making mean comments about my GG pics, I mos def cried about it on that private jet on my way to my dream job last night. #JK," she tweeted. And, just like that, Sidibe won the night, the Internet, and our hearts. (New York Daily News)
