The year that indie became pop and pop became indie, 2013 stands as being, for the most part, a pretty great year in music. (And, we don't say that every year. We really don't.) Which is why our list of the top songs is as varied and intense as the artists who produced it, including enigmatic Brits, radio darlings, and multi-platinum artists. If we were to bury this post in an Internet time capsule (just bear with us, here), only to unearth it in 10 years, we are pretty certain we'd stand by all of these picks. We've ordered it, but don't let our ranking dissuade you from any of these tunes. After all, each of these songs are the ones that have not left our iPods or Spotifys since we first heard them.
