As if you didn't have enough to worry about this holiday season, we've got one more reason you'll want to watch what you eat: Junk food can wreck your skin.
According to a new HuffPo article, most of the joyful eating we do around the holidays not only has the potential to wreck our waistlines, but those not-so-good-for-you ingredients can cause skin inflammation, dehydration, and premature aging. Basically, that extra glass of wine paired with fast food while driving to Grandma's house are eventually going to show up all over your face. Scary thought, right?
So, even though you've increased your exercise to account for the calories, do you really want to have to try to account for skin damage? We thought not. The weight will come off, but the fine lines are wrinkles? Not as easy. Check yourself before you, you know, wreck yourself. (Huffington Post)
