Julia Roberts and Kim Basinger are pretty much professional red-carpet walkers, not to mention Hollywood vets. And, last night, at two separate premieres, on two opposite sides of the country, they both were perfect examples of what it means to borrow from the boys.
Roberts and Basinger took on the (sometimes tricky) challenge of re-imagining men's clothing for women. In L.A. at the August: Osage County premiere, the former mixed feminine with masculine in a Givenchy tuxedo jacket, a crisp, high-collared shirt, and an uneven-hem skirt. With a strappy heel and side-swept undo, the look was a totally modern and fresh way to play around in the dude's department.

Kim eschewed any classic ladylike gear and went for a straight-up three-piece Ralph Lauren suit at the Grudge Match premiere and Tribeca Film Institute Benefit in NYC. Pocket-watch chain and neck tie included. She's rocking the pinstripes and white collar so hard, she's giving the Wolf of Wall Street and Lucky Luciano a run for their money.
