Thanks to makeup artist Beau Nelson, we can officially add cobalt blue eyeliner to our list of winter-perfect makeup looks. This precise, exaggerated black-and-blue cat-eye is beyond gorgeous. We love everything Nelson creates, but this is some next-level prettiness.
The fact that the eyeliner is its own complete shape around the model's eye — rather than disconnected top and bottom lines — gives the look a futuristic glam vibe. And, with her skin so bare that her freckles are fully visible, the cobalt sheen is really the star. The line fades to black at the corners of her eyes, so it looks like light is hitting it. It's basically the eyeliner version of splashlights.
This is a perfect holiday look if you're sick of red lipstick and silvery eyeshadow. It's a little bit punk and all-the-way appropriate for anything festive.
