André Leon Talley’s Got A Brand New Bag, & It’s Not Louis Vuitton

Kanye's about to have a total foot-in-mouth situation. We're thinking his product rant about Zappos may have been a heart worn too soon on his sleeve, as the king of fashion, André Leon Talley has been named artistic director of Zappos Couture.
As the high-end branch of Zappos, the couture division offers luxury footwear, clothing, handbags, and now we can only guess, caftans. As part of his new role, Talley will create digital and editorial content, something the former Vogue editor-at-large is well equipped to handle. He'll also consult on new brands to incorporate at Zappos. This means he'll be dictating the contents of our closets, and with free shipping. Needless to say, we're beyond excited that two of our favorite entities — Talley and Zappos — will be under one, albeit digital, roof.

Talley will remain international editor-at-large for Russia's Numero, but we're anxious to see the ways in which he'll develop Zappos Couture. If ASOS developed a magazine, would it be a far cry to think that Talley's appointment is a preface to a similar publication from the digital retailer? As for Yeezy, all we can say is, Talley don't make no junk.
