Studiomix is a 30,000 square-foot, multi-level fitness club (so much more than a gym!) with posh amenities like saunas, free Wi-Fi, and a juice bar that whips up some mean green blends. Group fitness classes are held in one of six studios with high ceilings and flattering lighting. In addition to boot camp, yoga, and Pilates classes, it has a full-on rock climbing wall and major TRX and boxing equipment in the "Power Studio."

With a totally accurate reputation as the Maserati of gyms, in price and quality, it’s fitting that this club is located smack dab in the middle of the Financial District. The Equinox Fitness
brand has launched countless fitness trends, and its instructors are consistently recognized as the best in the biz. Group classes are its highlight, and its cardio and weight equipment are so spotless they piratically sparkle. You’ll never want to shower again at your apartment after spending a morning getting ready in these spa-like locker rooms.

Crunch On Polk Street
Hands down the best deal in town for a full-service gym, the Russian Hill Crunch has some of the most striking architecture for a room filled with sweaty boot campers. Crunch
on Polk Street is located in a converted theater with insanely high ceilings and a totally open floor plan. This means that the group fitness studio has no partition from the main cardio floor, making for some excellent people watching and scoping out the scary cardio and strength classes before diving in.

on Nob Hill is the most recent million-dollar renovation, which makes this gym’s under-the-radar and super affordable monthly membership a steal. Located on top of the hill inside of the historic Fairmont Hotel
(complimentary gym use for hotel guests!) the studio is one of few gyms to allow individual class drop-ins. Group fitness sessions include packed spin workouts, a new small group training program, and in 2014, it will launch a signature barre series across all of its locations.
