Everyone, meet Katie and Katy. Katie is a producer in Texas. Katy is a copywriter in California. And, together they are the hilarious duo behind Just The Tips.
Dedicated to "testing out all the tips from the Internet so that you don't have to," Katie and Katy have taken on the task of bringing Vogue's September issue to life. The girls, determined to show that styling tips can live both on and off the page, recently settled on a spread entitled "Ragged Glory," a fashion feature that's "all about a band of merry pranksters caravanning their rock-and-roll looks across the English countryside" — well, according to Katie, at least. Decked in leather, chunky knits, floral layers, and flannel shirts, the best friends decided to give these trends a go, à la the famed glossy.
And, what came of it all? Valuable lessons include: 1) "A woman's best accessory is a wild horse." 2) "Chunky knit, chunky lady...you have to be really careful." And, 3) "Buy a plastic motorcycle vest." Watch as these ladies put their print-mixing and cold-weather-layering skills to the test, for better or for worse. Anna would be proud — we think.
