This Apple-Designed Desk Makes Our Office Dreams Come True

We’re well aware that Apple can whip up some sleek desktop computers, but now one of the company’s designers has jumped to the furniture world by engineering an actual desk. The company’s VP of Design, Jony Ive — who put his creative mind to use on products like the iPhone — dreamt up a solid aluminum, two-legged desk that might just get us inspired to clock in a few extra working hours each day. The so-mod table’s surface has a cellular pattern that resembles a turtle’s shell, and if that alone doesn’t get you excited, we don’t know what will!
So, how do you get your hands on this shiny, new working station? One lucky attendee of the (RED) Auction, going down November 23 in NYC at Sotheby's, will walk away with the Neal Feay Company-produced desk — after what we’re sure will be a competitive bidding war. And, we hear an 18K rose-gold pair of ear buds will also be for up for auction (no pun intended). We’re crossing our fingers more techie designers head into the home décor arena — mama needs a futuristic, Apple-esque living room!
