Move Over, "Blurred Lines" — There's A NEW Earworm In Town

We're not normally the gambling types, but we're willing to bet that once you see this video, you'll be humming its tune for weeks. No, seriously — this animated short for artist Takashi Murakami's upcoming beauty collaboration with Shu Uemura features the catchiest song we've heard all year. And yes, we're counting "Blurred Lines."

There's a lot going on here, from giant cosplaying girls toddling around Tokyo to enchanted, heart-filled makeup compacts. It's all part of the rollout for the upcoming 6 Hearts Princess collab — check out the pics if you haven't yet — whose art has roots in Tokyo's otaku culture. A riff on the majokko, or "magical girls," subgenre of anime, this video does confuse us a bit (why do the pedestrians start hopping like bunnies?), but heck, this isn't the first time an artist made us think, and that's a good thing. The collection is out next month; until then, you know what song we'll be singing...
