2 Exclusive DIY Hunger Games Looks

Ever since The Hunger Games became an integral part of our lives, we've found ourselves describing certain beauty looks as resembling something you'd find in the Capitol. This goes for anything futuristic, avant-garde, or just plain fantastical — the Capitol has become our reference point for makeup that's out of this world (the best kind, duh). So, when CoverGirl gave us the exclusive on two upcoming makeup looks inspired by Catching Fire, each representing a different district as interpreted by the high-couture of the Capitol, you can bet that our fangirl hearts just about burst into excited Katniss-esque flames. (Make sure you click to the next page to see both of them.)

So, enough of our squealing, and onto the beauty. The makeup of this first look is a perfect visual metaphor for the title, "Transportation." Makeup artist Dotti used a combination of products "to get that really lush, full, bold lip, which looks amazing. Slick, fast, elegant.” Just like how we envision transportation in the Capitol. "The lip is my favorite thing," she told us. It's our favorite thing, too. As for the combination of products she used? It's not for the faint of heart: Ink It! in Black Ink, Blast Flipstick Lipcolor in Flashy, LipPerfection Lip Color in Euphoria, Outlast Lipcolor in Burgundy, and Smoochies Sizzle Gloss in Date Night and Glisten Up.
That gorgeous color around her eyes was created with the Flamed Out Shadow Pot in Molten Black and Blazing Purple. We're loving how the purple sheen appears on her cheeks and above her brows, too. Can we motion to make purple blush a thing?

This look, "Masonry," really takes things to a whole new level. With asymmetrical hard lines and right angles drawn on the model's face, and hair that looks like it's styled with cement, we've definitely never seen this before. To get that gorgeous red lip color, Dotti set to mixing again — using LipPerfection in Entwined, Flame, and Soulmate.

We're also loving those multi-dimensional, glistening black nails, painted with Outlast Stay Brilliant Glosstini in Black Heat and Scalding Emerald and Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss in Non-Stop Stone.
If you're brave enough to attempt the eyes of this look, try the Flamed Out Shadow Pot in Scorching Cocoa and Red Hot Flame, and the Flamed Up Mega Curl Mascara in Very Black Blaze.
So, Hunger fans, what do you think? Did we just find your Halloween look, or what?
