Today, Samsung announced the details of the latest tablet family. It's called the Galaxy Note 10.1 – 2014 Edition. The ten-inch Android tablet will be available for preorder starting at midnight Eastern time tomorrow, September 27. The new Note will officially launch on October 10. The 10GB version will retail for $549.99 and the 32GB version will retail for $599.99. Neither, however, have any cellular capability and are WiFi-only.
The Note features a 2,560 x 1,600 pixel display, a quad-core processor, and 3GB of RAM. It also includes a new interface called My Magazine, which allows users to organize social media feeds, news, and other content in a Flipboard-style personalized dashboard. As with previous Samsung tablets, this one employs an S Pen stylus, now updated with several shortcuts for optimizing workflows. But can it provide the rich motion-sickness experience of iOS7? (BGR)
