Christopher Kane is taking his brand to the next level with the announcement that Alexandre de Brettes, former Kering Financial Communications and Market Intelligence Director is to be his brand’s new CEO. This is the latest example of Kering’s benign and positive influence on the business, ever since it bought a majority stake in the label at the beginning of this year.
Before you rush to conclusions about what this means, listen to what brother-and-sister duo, Christopher and Tammy Kane have to say about the appointment, "We are delighted that Alexandre is joining our company. For the time being, the creative duo are keeping schtum but when we spoke to the designer a couple of months ago, there was talk of expanding into handbags and leather goods.
