We couldn’t help but feel a little teased this past weekend — ample sun one minute, blanket of fog the next. So goes summer in S.F. And, if there’s one local who feels our pain, it’s shop owner Mira Pickett. In fact, she finds herself bargaining with the fleeting temps pretty often and has even dedicated a collection of bright images to remind us of the light at the end of the tunnel (read: sunny days once again).
Mira Mira’s latest lookbook is an elegant compilation of her latest warm-weathered threads. This sartorial homage to the sun doesn’t just have us pleading with Mother Nature for better days, but it just augmented our wish list by a landslide. “The warmth of the sun is such a fleeting commodity in this otherwise idyllic city,” says Pickett. “I think I'm always 'praying for the sun' and I've noticed that that so many of our photo shoots incorporate sunlight, reflection, and shadow so I wanted to put together a collection of some of our favorite summer looks to feature that.” Well, we’re glad she did, because this may be the saving grace we needed on this gloomy Monday.
