Prepare yourselves: The newest trailer for Kimberly Peirce's Carrie remake will send chills down your spine. Literally, it'll leave you shaking and clawing to find the nearest blanket to hide under. The first teaser gave us enough of a glimpse of Chloë Grace Moretz as the blood-soaked post-prom Carrie to haunt us for a month or so, but after watching this version, we're pretty sure we'll be sleeping with the lights on — indefinitely.
The clip starts with Julianne Moore singing a hymn (along with some indistinguishable shrieking), while the screen tells us, "In every neighborhood there's a family with a secret no one talks about." The trailer pulls out all the stops, giving us previews of the story's iconic moments — think the girls' locker room scene, Carrie's bed levitation, and the infamous prom scene (complete with vats of pigs' blood). Carrie wouldn't be Carrie without her ultra-religious and overbearing mother, though, and we're loving Moore's terrifying performance. Her unkempt hair, frantic praying, and kitchen-knife wielding is enough to give you nightmares. Seriously, you may not want to watch this one alone.
