Who doesn’t love a story that ends happily ever after? The princess meets her prince (can of worms, we know; but let's suspend disbelief for a moment), Dorothy gets to go home to Kansas and, well, you know the rest. That’s why we give thanks to modern-day Prince Charming, a.k.a. Nicholas Kirkwood, for partnering with Disney to create a four-piece collection of heels fit for any real-life heroine. The capsule collection is inspired by Disney’s latest offering, Oz The Great and Powerful, with each pair drawing inspiration from a lead character: the Wizard, Glinda, Evanora, and Theodora.

They range from crystal-encrusted heels to black-and-ruby-sequined boots, and — a first for Kirkwood — a men’s brogue. The range is on show as part of Selfridge’s Shoe Carnival. And the costumes worn by James Franco, Michelle Williams, and the rest of the cast feature in the department store’s window display as well. Who’s up for creating a real-life fairy story? Repeat after us and click your heels thrice: There’s no place like Selfridges.
