If the average bride spends $1,355 on a wedding dress, you can bet that fashion's elite are going to make sure that their own gowns would make the laywoman's mind explode.
When Margherita Missoni wed race car driver Eugenio Amos this weekend in Brunello, she skipped over her own family's duds (what — no chevron-striped gown, Marghs?) in favor of a breathtaking lace dress by Giambattista Valli. She did keep it slightly in the family though by using Missoni silks and organzas to create her dresses — yes, dresses — for the festivities. One in blush pink and one in white, Margherita's gowns were covered in plump blossoms and draped silks, and she paired them with a silver headband for the ceremony and a floral wreath for the reception. Not to be outdone, Eugenio wore a pair of plaid pants and a tailcoat for the wedding. Lookin' sharp, kids. (Fashion Indie)
