Hosting a cocktail party in Chicago is a project. We can't simply set out a bottle of vodka and some mixers and hope for the best. Amateur! The next time you host your A-list friends for a fete, pour and serve as the grown-ups do. We recently found two recipes to have on hand the next time you're in the mood for some at-home imbibing: Polenta thyme cookies with honey and ricotta for snacking, and a proper Carpano Antica Manhattan to sip. Both are relatively simple recipes to master, meaning it won't to too hard to score that haute hostess reputation you deserve.
