Sure, one of Gabrielle Coco Chanel's many habits may have been to have one last look in the mirror before departing her pied-à-terre, then remove one item — but we're thinking she'd bend the rules in honor of one very special occasion. August 19th would be the designer's 129th birthday, and we can't fathom a better way to revere the risk-taker than with copious amounts of her signature costume bling.

If you're looking to give your jewelry box a luxe update with some interlocking C's or camellias, make sure to bookmark 1stdibs for the crème de la crème of Chanel sales. In addition to early Lagerfeld creations, there will be items from the Paris-based firm Gripoix, which handmade a slew of the French house's famed designs.

Take a peek at some of the swoon-worthy items that we wish would land in our virtual shopping carts. Fingers crossed, we'll be wishing Chanel the happiest of birthdays in a pearl-adorned bracelet or a fab pair of gilded earrings. Now, to plan the soirée!
