We're all lovers of gadgets and high tech-ery, and shopping is more or less a reflex, so you can bet our attention was snared when news of Burberry's new shopping-of-the-future came down the pipe. Imagine watching a real-time runway show and shopping the looks as they come down the catwalk on an iPad, while the show plays around you on big screens. You like something, you snag it! It's all possible with the custom Burberry app and this "virtual trunk show", designed to immerse you in the music, clothing, and atmosphere of the brand. The forward-face brand (remember that 3D show?) will broadcast their spring '11 womenswear show on September 21st to flagship stores around the globe, including two New York locations. Welcome to the new era of shopping—now, can they give us an iPad too?
