Just because we’re entering holiday-ville doesn’t mean we have to succumb to a wardrobe full of reds, greens, and winter whites. In fact, ultra-talented girl-about-town Seema Hamid — who counts graphic designer, photographer, stylist, and former editor-in-chief of TheFancy.com, among her many titles — is about to unequivocally prove otherwise. We tapped the German-born creative, who now resides in Outer Richmond, to show us her coolest and most colorful winter ensembles — and they're sure to inspire even the most pattern-averse. Our noses are redder than a Louboutin sole, and we haven't felt our toes since October. Yep, it’s cold here in NYC. But, in Wisconsin, for example (where this editor's mother lives), it's even worse. (Meanwhile, his brother in L.A. thinks his 65-degree day is nippy.)

Try as it might, a temperature drop does not always get in the way of those who love a short hem. Yes, we're opposed to frostbitten legs, but we’ve become really good at layering warm tights and tossing on high boots to help fight the chill. Because, nobody should have to give up skirts just because it's winter. read
