Genius Winter Styling Ideas From Rockstar Diaries' Naomi Davis

Naomi Davis of Rockstar Diaries might well be one of Washington's most-loved bloggers. She started documenting life in D.C. after moving here from New York City in 2009, and developed a devoted following of readers who are smitten with her optimistic take on married life, local food, and (obv) all things stylish. Key players in her daily diary? Her husband Josh, charming bulldog Kingsley, and unbelievably cute new daughter Eleanor. We got a personal tour of Naomi's wardrobe as she put together some winter looks we're dying to whip up for ourselves, and spent some quality time with her adorable family. It left us feeling all warm and fuzzy—and ready to whip up some equally cute and colorful ensembles. Click through—we think you'll be just as inspired!

You've said you're not a "fashion person," but you have great style. What inspires you?
"I love bright, bold colors. For me, wearing color creates a positive feeling and energy. I also gather a lot of inspiration from fellow bloggers, street style sites, places I visit, music, and people I see out and about."

What are your favorite, can't-live-without-'em items from your closet?
"It's hard to say. My go-to favorite items change all the time! In this very instant, if I could find a way to work my vintage jacket with faux-fur trim into every outfit, I would! I also can't live without bright lipstick!"

Even your baby has great style! Has becoming a mom changed your sense of style?
"I find my style is always evolving based on the influences and events in my life. Being a mother has reinforced for me how fashion and dress can help me still express my individuality. Getting dressed and prepared for the day makes me feel ready to work, whether that involves taking care of my baby girl Eleanor, blogging, or any of the other things I accomplish on any given day."

Your home is adorable! What's your favorite thing about it?
"Well, that is very kind of you! I love how old our home is. The floors creak, everything is a little crooked ... but it has so much character. I tend to gravitate towards older fixer-uppers more than shiny, fancy, new things."

Any tips you can share for taking great pics?
"Both my husband and I are not photographers by any means, but if I had one tip to share, it'd be to find a camera you're comfortable taking with you, everywhere. In the end, the most important thing is to capture those special moments, and having a camera handy is the only way to do that."
