Get Inspired By One Of The Best Female Surfers In The World
Carissa Moore is fearless in the water. The two-time Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) women’s world champion is a powerful, graceful athlete who is constantly pushing and elevating the sport of women’s surfing — and doing so with a smile. The Hawaii native became the first-ever female to win a King of the Groms event in 2007 (a popular surfing competition that identifies young talent), beating out 60 of Hawaii’s top junior boys.
We headed to Long Beach, just outside of New York City, with Moore to see the current ESPYS best female action sport athlete of the year nominee in action. Click play to discover what motivates her, how she turned her passion into a career, and how she's inspiring a new generation of female surfers.
