We admit, sometimes we just want James Franco to do what he does best: self-aware, stoner comedy. And on this auspicious day of the Mayan apocalypse, Franco (along with fellow Judd Apatow pal and Freaks and Geeks co-star Seth Rogan) sent us a dispatch from his bunker. The message, of course, is a promotion for their doomsday movie, This Is The End, set to hit theaters next summer.
The plot sounds reasonably funny. At a party at James Franco's modernist, Franco-esque house, crazy end-of-days happenings start to go down. This apparently takes out some of our favorite Hollywood funny people, like Michael Cera and Jason Segal. The cameos don't end there though, and they're quite impressive: Emma Watson, Mindy Kaling, (our boyfriend) Paul Rudd, Rihanna, Kevin Hart, Danny McBride, etc...all playing themselves. And, as the trailer below points out, not all of them make it out alive. Which is sad...but this is the end of the world we're talking about here. Most of us won't be spared.
