The Cheapest-Looking Designer Items

You'd think that if you'd invest a little extra cash into a sweet designer piece, you'd be getting something with a little value. Not so with these designer disasters. We've rounded up some of the cheapest-looking expensive items—even from beloved designers like Balmain and Yves Saint Laurent—that have made us gasp... and then gag.
Balmain Ripped Shirt—$1,625

This shirt has sold out on Net-a-Porter in sizes two, six and eight. Marlon Brando's face displays our sentiments exactly.

I think the fact that we found a look-a-like of this pink foil minidress on a clubwear website should be a red flag.

Alberta Ferretti Silk Ribbon Apron—$2,415

Whether this is actually an apron, or just some floss that's gone rogue, we don't recommend that anyone shell out the $2,000+ for this bad boy.

Louis Vuitton Chinatown Tote—$2,660

Usually a great bag will bring some "ooh's" and "ahh's" your way, but the only comment you'll get with this bag is "Ooh, open up and let me see what you got on Canal Street!"
