Your October Love Horoscope, Revealed

comments
October is the month for true love. The sun blazes a trail through Libra and Scorpio — the signs associated with partnerships and deep bonds. And from the 8th on, Mars and Venus stroll hand in hand — their magic getting some serious love from supersizer Jupiter. But will these heart-opening vibes point us to a new leading man or lady, or will they send us back in time? With Mercury retrograde until the 9th, the stars are spinning sentimental jams. Old flames could make a comeback, and couples may start feeling nostalgic. On the 27th, the tell-it-like-it-is full moon of Taurus helps us place people in their proper categories in our lives and make some serious plans for the future. Ready or not, this month’s about to stir up some feelings.

Sagittarius Love Forecast

Power-couple fantasies are dancing through your head this October, but who’s the right partner for your play? With Mercury retrograde until the 9th, it could be someone from your past. Or with this career-focused month, some archers may meet a hot prospect though a work event. Just tread lightly if you’re going to blur the business and pleasure lines.

Already attached? You’ll be rewarded for working through some tricky conversations this month. Don’t be afraid to open up about long-range plans — especially near the new moon on the 12th or when your ruler Jupiter syncs with Venus on the 25th. It’s important to know that you’re on a similar page as the one you adore. If not, find a compromise. Stay open, but don’t force it. Who knows? You could be opening a joint bank account or starting a business project together before the month is through.

Your Beauty Forecast: Mauve On
To get the look, start by highlighting beneath your browbones and on the inner corner of each eye with a light, shimmery shadow to create a wide-awake look. Then, using a soft blending brush, apply a deep-purple cream shadow in your crease and along your lower lashline. Switch to a flat nylon brush to apply peach shadow over your entire eyelid. Blend the two shades together, using a fluffy brush, until they’re thoroughly diffused — this creates a multi-dimensional effect. Next, define your eyes with a couple coats of mascara, and finish your look with brighter hues of purple on your lips and cheeks (in this case, a punchy magenta lipstick and a dusty-rose cream blush) for a monochromatic look that makes a statement.
