After this story got us all freaked out over phthalates (common chemicals added to cosmetics, household cleaners, and even sex toys) and their potential effect on our hormones, we decided to do some research and see what was actually out there for consumers interested in phthalate-free products. Lo and behold, we found that everyone from Tarte to L'Occitane to Olay is reformulating their products to be healthier and more natural.
In addition to these popular brands, we also found some standout, non-granola natural brands that are so good, you may not even miss your old stuff (we personally love how natural shampoos and body washes are less drying and irritating than their commercial counterparts). Pretty, safe, and effective? We'd say that these products are a win-win, whether you're looking for the perfect all-natch lipstick or chemical-free cleansing face wipes.
