Press Play: The Fashion Week Playlist To Get You Psyched

Playlist
With New York Fashion Week almost upon us, we're about to get a glimpse at the hottest new looks and the industry's biggest stars. But, any seasoned attendee knows that NYFW isn't just about the clothes anymore — their elaborate presentation on the runway counts for a whole lot, too. And, to make that big impression, designers turn to music to create a signature vibe. Be it Thom Browne soundtracking his insane-asylum-styled set with Björk or Alexander Wang partying after-hours with Odd Future, good music has become de rigueur in the tents.
With that in mind, Refinery29 partnered with Myspace to craft a playlist of songs we'd love to hear both on and off the catwalk. From brand-name-infused hip-hop by the likes of Jay Z and A$AP Rocky to high-energy dance cuts from Disclosure and Saint Pepsi, these 12 picks are the tracks we're expecting to get major play this Fashion Week.

Disclosure, "F For You"
Sky Ferreira, "24 Hours"
Beyoncé, "XO"
Busta Rhymes, "Thank You"
Charli XCX, "You (Ha Ha Ha)"
Kanye West, "Black Skinhead"
Vampire Weekend, "Diane Young"
A$AP Rocky, "Fashion Killa"
Chairlift, "I Belong In Your Arms"
Schoolboy Q, "Collard Greens"
Saint Pepsi, "Better"
Jay Z, "Tom Ford"
St. Vincent, "Birth In Reverse"
