Trek Around Town With New Vanport Outfitters Canvas Bags

Three things we love: fall's American heritage trend, handmade accessories, and West Coast brands. No surprise, we're head over heels for Portland-based Vanport Outfitters. After learning the art of custom canvas sail making from his father, designer Nick Everett started making one-off clothing and accessories for friends. He was soon discovered by Jordan Saylor of menswear boutique Winn Perry, who initiated a collaboration, the result of which was such a hit that the duo later decided to launch a full line. Tailored, simple, and functional, each tote, backpack or iPad case is hand-made by local Portland craftsmen and give off that hearty, hike-in-the-woods feeling we're aching for this season.

Available in Portland and online at Winn Perry or online at Le Train Bleu.
