New Boutique Realm Has Us Craving Couture

We first peeped SoHo's hot new shop, Realm, when we were celebrating Fashion's Night Out, so, of course, our memories aren't exactly crystal-clear. The brand-new, high fashion boutique first opened its doors to the public on that fateful Friday with a fun-tastic French themed fete with designer Alexis Mabille, who, along with Jean Claude Jitrois, sells exclusively to the store. All the merch is hand-picked by Realm's owner, Randi Jacobson—she takes serious pride in bringing designers to the table that are both established (Thierry Mugler), or less well-known (Ermanno Scervino)—but, natch, they're all mega avant-garde. The clothes are housed in a 2,000 square-foot sleek and stealthy space that looks equal parts Gagosian Gallery, runway show catwalk, and just about the nicest closet you've ever seen. Bonus points for Realm's mind-blowing VIP services: Think additional perks like custom Plexiglas shopping bags, car service in a chauffeured Bentley, and complimentary basic tailoring by an on-site seamstress. Excuse the cheese, but that's one realm we'd like to rule.
