For all you Manhattanites, the trek to Brooklyn might seem like an out-of-the-way adventure into a far-off borough. But with the sweet smell of summer just around the corner, a refreshing view of green trees instead of silver skycrapers might be just what you need. Starting this Sunday April 25th, Kings County General Store in Park Slope is opening their monthly market that is filled with over 30 Brooklyn-based artists, designers, and of course, tasty treats, a photobooth, and even a pinball machine. Everyone from Staci Leatherland of Mifflin Jewelry and Aaron Ruff from You And Me The Royal We are participating in this local lovin' neighborhood market. And just in case that isn't enough to get you out of the city and into the BK, Kings County is going gift-bag-gaga and giving away goodie bags stuffed with all kinds of local treats to the first 50 shoppers! So hop on the train for a Sunday funday in the Slope.

Where: Southpaw, 125 5th Avenue, (between Douglass and Butler streets); Park Slope, Brooklyn; 718-230-0236; www.kingscountygeneralstore.com
