The mini works of art were in celebration of the latest book from Standard Press (the hotel’s own imprint),
Nailed
. In his 192-page hardcover tome, Chicago-based artist Dzine explores the history of decorated digits (it signified social status in China at one time) and where the art form is headed. During Art Basel week, special guests were invited to to Perrier's nail lab at the hotel to get tricked-out fingers inspired by Dzine’s signature jewel-encrusted paintings. And while the treatments were by-invitation-only last week, the Miami Beach propert will be accepting appointments from the public for one week beginning on December 10. Hurry up and sang a spot, because they’re sure to go fast. And we don’t want to see you pointing any fingers — at least not at us.
