Ketchup Is The Solution To Your Chlorine-Green Hair

Creative hacks are a beauty girl's best friend. Using mayonnaise as a deep conditioner? Yes, please. Oh, honey helps with combating acne? I'll pick up a jar on my next trip to Trader Joe's. The weirder and more unexpected, the better. And, the latest tip from Fashionista's beauty hack series incorporates a new ingredient: ketchup.
When writer Cheryl Wischhover's child noticed that her blonde tresses were turning green several days into a family vacation to Cape Cod, she was surprised. She'd avoided chlorine (and its color-changing chemicals) for precisely this reason. But, the culprit turned out to be her shower — specifically, copper that was creeping into the water through the pipes. Hundreds of miles from her colorist, Wischhover was left with few options. But, while we would be having a mild panic attack, she handled the mishap like a pro, turning to the Internet, and eventually, to a bottle of Heinz ketchup to restore her blonde locks. Head over to Fashionista to read the full story, and find out why this might be the best hack of them all. (Fashionista)
