1. Krallice. This is my favorite band in NYC right now. Truly moving black metal, transcending black metal. If you are lacking inspiration you should go see a show. The song "Forgiveness In Rott" is particularly special.
2. Creed Shreds. My favorite thing on YouTube right now. I watch it at least 10 times a day, laughing more with each viewing. Not talking about the one done over the live footage either (though that one definitely has it's moments.) It's the one shot in Seattle with the cricket sound effects. Holy shit.

3. Patrik Ervell's Spring/Summer 2009 collection. Have been a fan of his work for a while now. I am currently working on original music for Patrik's show and am really excited to see it all come together this September.
4. "Planet Health" by Chairlift. Everything you need in a song. Caroline Polachek's voice—perfectly amazing. Slap-bass and 90s drum groove: instantly addictive. The lyrics are well written and charming. This band's whole record is fantastic, check them out on the road with Ariel Pink.
5. Vita Coco. It has officially replaced water in my diet. Sponsorship, please.
Jorge Elbrecht is the lead singer of the band Violens.
