In celebration of their new stateside store, esteemed Paris-based fashion house and record label Kitsuné has released a compilation album titled (fittingly) Kitsuné America. The mix features an impressive roster of artists including Childish Gambino, Selebrities, and XXXChange, yet it’s “Even Though,” a collaboration between San Francisco-based producer Giraffage and sixteen year old Florida wunderkind XXYYXX, that is the real highlight. “Even Though” mixes trancey synths, R&B beats, and pitch-shifted vocal samples into a dizzying cross-genre concoction.
